SALEM, N.Y. -- Margaret F. Crosier Saunders, 68, of Salem, passed away Saturday night, Feb. 20, 2010, at the Orchard Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Granville, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Feb. 22, 1941 in Hebron, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Fitz Gerald) Crosier.
In June 24, 1961, she married Theodore Saunders, who passed away on Dec. 28, 1988. She would have celebrated her 69th birthday on Monday.
Margaret graduated on June 22, 1959, from Salem Washington Academy. Margaret was a seamstress working for many local companies. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her special grand-dog Jada.
Margaret is survived by her children, Neil Saunders of Union City, Tenn., Steven Saunders and his wife, Mary Lou, of Salem, Dena Cristaldi and her husband, Ron, of Cambridge, Carol Saunders and her lifetime family friend, Tina Rowland, of Cambridge and Mary Ellen Saunders and partner, Robert Morgan, of Canton, Pa. She is also survived by a sister, Patricia Chadwick, of Salem; nine grandchildren, Ryan and Brenden Saunders, both of Burlington, Vt., Army PFC 3 Brett Saunders, stationed in Baghdad, Iraq, Kayla Autery of Spiegletown, N.Y., Taylor Cristaldi of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Danielle Cristaldi of Cambridge, Grant, Blake and Troy Morgan, all of Canton, Pa. Margaret is also survived by several nieces, nephews and special cousins, including Mary and Carl Shaw of Salem and loving, devoted lifetime friends, Marilyn, Karen and Scott Hanby of Salem.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was also pre-deceased by a sister, Marge Bourn Monroe.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home, 19 E. Broadway, Salem.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at the Salem United Methodist Church, 29 W. Broadway, Salem, with the Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating
Interment will take place in the Rupert Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Margaret may be made to the Salem Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 449, Salem, NY 12865 or the Canton/Troy STaRS Program, c/o Mary Ellen Saunders, 111 Lycoming St., Canton, Pa. 17724.

A native of Maine, lie was also the son of Arvld Johnson of South Lancaster, Mass. He went to Readsboro with his parents at an early age and had attended Readsboro schools Including the former Readsboro High, where he was the American Legion Boy Stater In his junior year. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1952 at the age of 17 and served until his discharge from Travers AFB, Calif., In 1962. During Ms tour of duty he served 18 months in Newfoundland. He had resided on the west coast since his return to civilian life. Besides his parents, he leaves his wife, the former Marilyn Crosier of North Adams, who now resides at 30 Prospect St., Adams; two daughters, Janice, 9 and Dawn, 7; three brothers, Charles of West Dover, Vt.; Roland of Monroe Bridge and Wil liam of Bennington; several nieces and nephews. Marjorie C. Olds 1921-2011 DALTON Marjorie C. Olds, 89, of 621 North St, Dalton passed away at Berkshire Medical Center on April 8, 2011. Marjorie was born in Dalton on April 14, 1921. She was the daughter of Ralph and Nellie Adams Crosier; she graduated from Dalton High School in 1938. Mrs. Olds attended Berkshire Business College. She worked at Crane & Co. in the Stationary Department, retiring at the age of 62. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, plants and gardens. She was a long time member of the Grace Episcopal Church where she enjoyed working with the crafters. She was a former member of Wachonah Country Club. Many years ago, she bowled in the CRA League. Marjorie is survived by her husband Harold Olds whom she married October 23, 1943. Marjorie is survived by her children Beverly Olds of Pittsfield and Barbara Olds of Dalton. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services for Marjorie C. Olds will be held Tuesday April 12 at 10:30 at the Grace Episcopal Church, with Rev. Daina Salntis Rector, officiating. Burial will follow at the Ashuelot Cemetary following the service. Calling hours will be today 4 to 7 p.m. at the BARTLETT-WELLIINGTON FUNERAL HOME 525 Main St. Dalton, MA.
