Vermont phoenix., September 14, 1906, Page 8 WEST DOVER. Death has removed our much loved neighbor and friend, Mrs. Diana Cudworth Mann, who expired Sunday after four months of suffering, which she endured with Christian fortitude. She was born Nov. 19, 1838, in Chesterfield, N. H., and was the daughter of William and Cynthia Cudworth. She was married to William H. Mann Feb. 22, 1800, and came to this place where she has since lived. Most of the time she has been identified with the church and she felt a deep interest in its welfare. There was also In her life a strong religious current. Many will look back to the good cheer of the hospitable home where she will be sadly missed. Many tokens of esteem during her illness were contributed by her friends and the casket was covered with flowers. Besides her husband she leaves three children, Mrs. N. A. Crosier of Keene, Henry E. Mann of Wilmington and Clifford E. Mann of this place; also an aged mother and a brother and sister. The funeral was held Tuesday at the house. Rev. J. D. King of Wilmington officiating. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Kidder sang several beautiful selections. The burial was In west Dover cemetery. |
