Priscilla B. Bingham 1918 -2012 HUNGTINGTON - Priscilla Barnes Bingham died on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at the age, of 94. Priscilla was a long time resident of Huntington having moved there in 1954. She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on June 26, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Howard C. and Esther Giles Barnes of Ashfield, Massachusetts, and sister to the late Douglas Barnes. Priscilla was a graduate of the Westfield, New Jersey High School and was also a graduate of the Parson's School of Design of New York City. She spent many years in Westfield, New Jersey as an interior decorator. While there she also taught courses in interior design and drapery construction. Priscilla loved the creative arts, she was an award winning oil painter, she played the piano, hooked and braided rugs, gardened and sewed all her own draperies and slipcovers. She was Corresponding secretary of the Connecticut Valley Shell Club in Springfield for ten years. Pris was predeceased by her loving husband and travel partner of sixty years, Charles T. Bingham, who died in 1999. She is survived by her two loving daughters and their husbands, Diane Knowlton and her husband Ronald Knowlton, and Marilyn Cangro and her husband Dr. Joseph Cangro, both of Huntington. Also, six cherished grandchildren Tracey Jacey, of Noank, CT, Elizabeth Hurwitz of Wilbraham, MA, Charles Knowlton of Huntington, MA, Christopher Sarafin of Huntington, MA, Susan Hannah of West Brookfield, Mathieu Knowlton of Pittsfield, and ten great-grand children. Pris wants to give a special thanks to her grandson Christopher Sarafin for his loving care and companionship in her later years. There will be a private memorial service for the family at their chosen time. At a later date she will be buried in the Ashfield Plains Cemetery next to her parents and husband. There will be no calling hours and O'Brien Hilltown Community Funeral Home, Huntington, MA is in charge. Memorial contributions may be made to Westfield Homeless Cat Project, 1124 East Mountain Road in Westfield MA

Emilia L. Manning 1937 - 2012 MONSON - Emilia L. (Begin) Manning 75, of Monson died Tuesday at home. She was born in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada and was a daughter of the late Camille and Leophile (Cloutier) Begin. She was married to the late William J. Manning, Sr. She lived most of her life in Springfield, Hampden and Monson. She loved spending summers at her place in Rhode Island. She leaves her four children, Michael of Belchertown, Kevin of Saco, Maine, Karen Levesque of Springfield, and William Jr. of Monson. She also leaves her grandchildren who were most important in her life; Michael and John Manning, Denille Sprague, Stephanie Manning, Aleah, Corey and Nicholas Levesque, Brittany and Cameron Manning. She also leaves her 8 sisters: Lucille Steben, Jeanne Baker and Jeannile Bonenfant, all of Westfield, Gisele Crosier of West Springfield, Pauline Greene of Ryegate, VT, Lorraine McPherson, Carmen Davis and Diane Whitaker all of Douglas, MA. She leaves 2 brothers, Conrad Begin and Ray Begin of Douglas, MA. She was predeceased by four brothers, Gaston, Joe, Paul and Guy Begin. Visiting hours for Emilia are Monday, August 6, 2012 from 4-7pm at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Rd, Springfield. Funeral services are Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home beginning at 8:30 am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St, Springfield concluding with Rites of Committal at St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State St, Springfield.
