He was a member of Teamsters Local 29. He was preceded in death by his brother, Orton; sister, Sharon Rose; and grandchildren, Jeremy and Samantha. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Mary Giles; sons, Stewart, Kingston; Christopher M., Verona, Va.; Terrance C., Thornhurst; and Jeffrey R., Kingston; daughters, Susan Endrusick, Kingston; and Mary Anne Lostrick, Exeter; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Boyle, Blanche James, Virginia Wilbur and Audrey Wilbur, all of Medina, N.Y. Private funeral services will be from the Hugh B. Hughes & Son, Inc., Funeral Home, Forty Fort. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Wilkes-Barre.

Former Brattleboro Man Sustained shock In Northamplon, Mass,
Sanuel H. Mixer. 69. a former resident of Brattleboro, died Saturday nlght at 9 o'clock in the Dickinson hospital in Northampton, Mass.
following a shock sustained the previous Monday. He had been in failing health for several years and had made his home with his daughter in Greenfield.
He was born in Brattleboro May 14, 1851 a son of Sybil (Dudley) and Richardson Mixer.
At one time he was employed on the Eaton farm, and for about 15 years drove a delivcry wagon for the Brattleboro bakerv. He was in farm work ln West Brattleboro for a time and for a short perlod worked for the S. A. Smlth Co.
He leaves hls wlfe, Alta (Whitney) Mixer. one son. Ray H. of Springfield, Mass. a daughter, Bertha, wife of Harry Kendrick of Greenfield, Mass., one grandson, Newell Kendrick, two brothers, William J. and Leroy R. of Brattleboro, and four slsters, Mrs. Fayette
O. Bennett of Warwick, Mass.. Mrs. J. A. Spears of Auburn. Mass., Mrs. J. H. Britton of Springfield, Mass., and Mrs. Nellie B. Pierce of Willimantic, Conn.
The funeral was held in the undertaking rooms of Moran and Rohde at 2.30 p m. Monday, Rev. A. V. Woodworth of the West Brattleboro Congregational church officiating, and the burial took place in the family lot ln the West Brattleboro cemetery.

Carl D. Moon, Sr., 76 of Readsboro, VT passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 at Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington. He was born in Stephentown, NY on November 15, 1939, the son of the late Roy and Dorothy Moon. Carl attended school in Hancock and having a keen interest in farming, attended an agricultural school in Williamstown. Owning and caring for draft horses would become Carl's passion in life. Carl served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1956-1958. He worked for the Readsboro Chair Factory and drove truck for Webster Trucking until his retirement in 1994. He served as a Readsboro town employee and constable for many years. Carl is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Deblois Moon; four children-Carl Moon, Jr., Jeffrey Moon, Cheryl Leavitt and Tammy Poirot and their families; four step-children-Vicky Hall, Kristy DiMezza, Marcy Gordon and Thomas Deblois and their families; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Carl also leaves his sisters Gloria Sprague, Kathy Langnickel and Connie McKenzie. He is predeceased by his sisters Joyce Morin and Thelma LaPier. We bid farewell with Carl's most delightful parting phrase, "Toodle-loo!" Private services were held, and Carl has been laid to rest in the Readsboro Village Cemetery

Angelo Anthony Rancatti Jr.
MR. ANGELO ANTHONY RANCATTI JR., 73 of West Orange, NJ and a native of North Adams, MA died Monday November 17, 2014 at Livingston Care One in Livingston, NJ. He was born in North Adams, MA on May 18, 1941, son of Angelo A. and Ellen (Morehouse) Rancatti. He graduated from the Drury High School with the class of 1959. Angelo received his Bachelor's Degree from Seton Hall University and his Master's Degree from Rutgers University. He went onto receive a Doctorate of Literature from the University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy. Angelo taught foreign languages for 31 years at East Orange High School in East Orange, NJ. He also served as an instructor in English; English as a second language; music, and the EOP Program at Seton Hall and was an adjunct faculty advisor for Italian Studies at Seton Hall. Angelo founded a foreign language scholarship at Seton Hall. In his early years, he sang in the opera. While in North Adams, he was communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. He enjoyed music. Survivors include his sister, Claire Daub and her husband, Robert of Clarksburg, MA; one brother, Richard Rancatti and his wife Carol of Salem, NH. He also leaves nieces, nephews and his beloved friend, Michael Catino of West Orange, NJ.
FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Angelo Rancatti will be Saturday November 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. RICHFORD - Irene Benson, age 91, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born in Richford on July 19, 1922 the daughter of the late Homidas and Wilhelmine (Gagnon) Morel.
Irene was a lifelong resident of Richford where she grew up on Town House Hill. She was a 1940 graduate of Richford High School and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Irene was employed as a bookkeeper at Sweat-Comings, Kelly Insurance Agency (Frank Donahue) and the Richford School System. Irene and Bob also enjoyed traveling having visited California and Florida. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing and roller skating. She also enjoyed coffee and visits with her friends. Irene’s greatest joy was raising her daughter Betty and spending time with her and family.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Ricky Doe and his fiancée, Mary Anne Duell of Berkshire; granddaughter, Laura Cole and her husband, Wade, of Georgia; her grandson, Charles Doe and his girlfriend, Shannon Maynard, of Georgia; her great grandchildren, Noah and Elias Cole; her brother, Rene Morel and his wife, Nettie, of Richford. Besides her parents, Irene was predeceased by her husband, Robert Benson, on Aug. 7, 2002; and her daughter, Betty Doe on Sept. 19, 2011.
Irene’s family wishes to thank the staff at Our Lady of the Meadows in Richford where Irene had made her home for the last year, the folks at Meals on Wheels of Richford and the staff at Franklin County Home Health Agency for the wonderful care provided to Irene.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 152 Main St., Richford with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be held later this spring at the All Saints Cemetery. In keeping with Irene’s wishes there will be no visiting hours.
For those who wish, contributions in Irene’s memory may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478 or to the Meals on Wheels Program of Richford, 14 Province Street, Richford, VT 05476.

Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Cathy Superneau and Laurie Foskett, both of Adams; two sons, Ralph A. Morgan Jr. and Robert Morgan, both of North Adams; five sisters, Vina Ferris, Nancy O'Neil, Donna Czarnecki and Constance C. Lavigne, all of North Adams, and Rose Malloy of Cheshire; two brothers, John Strack of Adams and Horace Greenlaw of North Adams; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Harry E. Greenlaw, Fred Greenlaw, Kenneth Sprague and Edwin Sprague.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A graveside service for Mrs. Morgan will be held Tuesday, March 9, at 11 in Southview Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, is in charge of arrangements.
