Cangro, 93 of East Longm-eadow, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Baystate Medical Center. A life-long resident of East Longmeadow, he was born to the late Louis and Josephine (Mercier) Cangro. Louis was a graduate of Trade High School and a retiree from Van Norman Company after more than 40 years of service. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Louis was a member of the Italian-American Veterans Club and Knights of Columbus. An avid sports enthusiast, his real passion was golf and he was a longstanding member of Franconia Municipal Golf Course's "Birdie Club" achieving two holes-in-one, one of which proudly witnessed by his son. In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by one brother Michael Cango, and three sisters Rose Petruzzello, Joyce Hall and Etta Cangro. Louis is survived by his devoted wife of sixty-four years, Amelia (Lazzari) Cangro of East Longmeadow, one son Louis A. Cangro with his wife Gunilla of West Hartford, CT., and two daughters Joanne Cangro of East Longmeadow, and Rosemary Liptak and her husband George of Feeding Hills, two brothers, Felix Cangro and his wife Felicia of East Longmeadow and Joseph Cangro and his wife Marilyn of Huntington, MA., one sister Mildred D'Amato and her husband Matthew of East Longmeadow, three grandchildren Stephen Liptak of Feeding Hills and Erika and Amy Cangro both of West Hartford, CT. He also leaves a niece and several nephews including Matthew D'Amato, who held a special place in Louis' life. She was born in Erie on August 28, 1930, a daughter of the late Harold and Frances Stancliff Crozier. Bette graduated from Edinboro High School. She retired from Erie Resistor, where she was a time keeper, and later worked at Mercyhurst College. Bette loved to deal in antiques and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kosack in 1989; and one brother, Reginald Crozier. She is survived by her three children, Tammy (John) Hall, Eric (Tammy) Kosack, and Tanya (Tim) Leube, all of Erie; three grandchildren, Justin Hall and his fiancée, Lilia Brekke, Travis Leube, and Colton Leube; and a special cousin, Reva Baker. Funeral services were private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, PA 16504. A pearl and sequin headpiece held her chapel veil and she carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and chrysanthemums. Miss Jean Natalie, maid of honor, wore a gown of orchid velvet and carried a bouquetl of pink roses and carnations. Miss Christine Thrane, Miss Mary Lou Thompson, Mrs. Palricia iheeley and Miss Karen Rhynders, sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. They wore gowns of purple velvel and carried pink roses and carnations. The flower girl, Cindy Thrane, cousin of the bride, wore orchid and carried pink roses and carnations. Edward G. Rhynders, brother of the bridegroom, was bestl man and ushers were Albert Weir and Robert E. Lee Jr., cousins of the bridegroom; Kenneth Schumaker, and Michael Thrane, cousin of the bride. Ring bearer was William J. Mansfield, brother of the bride. Junior ushers were Edward Rhynders, nephew of the bridegroom, and Gregory Stafford. The reception took place at Ihe Veterans Memorial Home in Slillwater. After a wedding trip to Syracuse the couple lives on Breenian Slrcel, Colonie. Mrs. Rhynders, a graduate of Mechanicville High School and Spencer Business School, is employed by the Tilo Roofing Co. Albany. Mr. Rhynders is a graduate of Colonie Central School and is employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Co., Schenectady. |

Richard enjoyed playing cards, bowling, creating stained glass artwork, working on computers, brain teaser puzzles, and attending his family's activities. Survivors include his wife Mary Lou; son Jeff Morrison and wife April of Lincoln; daughter Rachell Morrison and special friend Dan Simmons of Stanberry, MO; 4 grandchildren David Morrison and wife Claire of Elm Creek, Jennifer Morrison of Denver, Joshua Morrison and Amber Morrison of Lincoln; brother Larry Morrison and wife Renee and sister Marcia Michaelson and husband Tom, all of Lincoln; mother in law Fern Obermeyer of Marysville; brothers in law Dean Obermeyer and wife Denise of New Mexico, and Mark Obermeyer and wife Carol of Waterville, KS; and several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Betty (Crosier) Morrison; his grandparents; and father in law Dale Obermeyer. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Mission Creek Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jim McNeal officiating. His body has been donated to science, so there will be no viewing, but a register book will be available at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore Thursday from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. The family will greet family and friends Thursday from 6:30 - 8:00 at the church. Private family burial of his ashes will be held at a later date at the Mission Creek Cemetery. A family prayer service will be held at 10:45 AM Friday at the church.
