New Hampshire Fish and Game Law Enforcement Division officials identified 68-year-old David Crosier of Westborough as one of the men who died when three snowmobiles fell into Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire on Saturday.
Rescuers were called to the lake around 11:30 a.m. Saturday after three snowmobiles entered open water and fell in.
Steven Weiss, 66, of Westborough, Crosier, and their friend, 62-year-old Mark O'Connell from Westboorugh were riding snowmobiles together on Lake Winnipesaukee when they hit open water off Long Island, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Law Enforcement Division said. O'Connell also owns a home in Moultonborough, New Hampshire.
Weiss was able to make it to shore. He remains hospitalized, authorities said.
O'Connell remained in the water and floated on ice debris. He was rescued, but was unconscious. O'Connell was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
